The UPND is a Liberal party founded in 1998. It is managed by National Executive and National Management committees as the highest policy making bodies for the day to day running of the party. Its policies are pro - poor with the intention of improving the quality of life of people through the creation of conditions that bring food to the table at house hold level. It has a robust plan to create jobs with better pay. The party offers free education opportunities as a way to empower the entire nation with means to livelihood. UPND believes in good Governance at both intra party and nationals. For this reason the party has continued to champion democracy by holding leaders accountable at all levels.
